Biographical Information:I am the mother of three children, "one of each" as my husband likes to say. My oldest is a mechanical engineer, my middle child is an Ivy Tech Early Childhood Development graduate now finishing his BS in Ed at IUSB, and my youngest is a mechanical engineer and current grad student at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to obtain an MS as a mechanical/bioengineer.

I have been with Ivy Tech since 1993. Before then I was a professional journalist with a small town newspaper in Indiana as well as part time instructor at Manchester College. My BA is in English Literature from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS; my MA is in American Literature from George Peabody College for Teachers (now part of Vanderbilt University), Nashville, TN.

My current focus is finishing my doctorate in Higher Education Leadership online through Capella University. In my “spare” time, my interests include quilting, knitting, cross stitch, costuming, the Society for Creative Anachronism, historic rendezvous, reading, other types of needlework, science fiction conventions, family, and my three cats.
