:: Introduction

Twice a year the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana - Southwest Technology Division, Evansville Chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and the Evansville Student Chapter of the National Association of Industrial Technology host a robotics competition for middle school and high school teams. These competitions allow students from area middle and high schools to form a team of four students and one adviser. The teams then have one month or less in which to build and program a robot that will negotiate a course or complete a specific task. Winners receive prizes from various local supporters.
