Joshua Long




Dr. Joshua Long serves as an assistant professor of economics in the Social Sciences Program at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast. He teaches a number of courses, including Economics Fundamentals, Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, and occasionally World Geography. Dr. Long serves as faculty advisor and station trustee for the Ivy Tech Northeast Amateur Radio Club. He received an A.A. in Liberal Studies from Christendom College, a B.A. in Philosophy from Wadhams Hall Seminary-College, an M.A. in Economics from Walsh College, and a Ph.D. in Education from Capella University. His research interests include global economic history, the history of economic thought, and education theory.  Outside of the classroom, Dr. Long is an amateur radio operator, organist, and enjoys gardening, hiking, biking, and rollerblading.
