business ownership, organization principles and problems, management,

BUS 105 Principles of ManagementPrerequisites: ENG025, ENG032, MAT044, or demonstrated competencies. Describes
the functions of managers, including the management of activities and
personnel. Focuses on application of guidance principles in management. |

BUS106 Customer ServicePrerequisites: ENG 025, ENG 032, MAT 044, or demonstrated competencies. Course focuses on the importance of providing superior customer service to the organization as well as the customer service representative. Fundamental customer service techniques applicable to a variety of situations are presented. |
BUS 108 Personal FinancePrerequisites: ENG 025, ENG 032, MAT 044, or demonstrated competencies. Emphasizes management of individual financial resources for growth and maintenance of personal wealth. Covers home buying and mortgage financing, installment financing, life and health insurance, securities, commodities, and other investment opportunities. |

BUS 209 Introduction to e-BusinessPrerequisites: BUS101, CIS101 Focuses on how e-business is being conducted and managed, its major opportunities, limitations, issues and risks. E-business applications to be discussed include those of business to consumer, business to business, and intra business. Because e-business is interdisciplinary, subject matter will be directed at managers, professionals, and students who wish an overview of the e-business potential. |
