This
module introduces you to the Virtual Library -- the library web
site that links to all of our resources.
When
you have completed this module you should be able to:
- recognize
what the Virtual Library is, and what it offers
- understand
how to find books and articles, using tools like IvyCat and IvyJo
- understand
how articles found in library databases differ from "web sources"
- recognize
what ebooks are and how to find them
- recognize
other tools and services available in the Virtual Library
- find
and use library resources when off campus
Many screens
will require scrolling (left-right and up-down) and will use
frames (where scrolling might be required in both parts of the
visible window). Please be sure to view the entire screen --
instructions and "Next" arrows will always be available at the
bottom of a window or frame, to show you how to move on. If you
are uncertain about how to navigate or scroll, please ask for
help before beginning the tutorial. |
