When users select a link to a library resource that contains the libproxy prefix, libproxy decides whether the user is on the campus of the location given in the libproxy prefix or off-campus. Off-campus users and users not at the location given in the libproxy prefix receive a login page where the Campus Pipeline user name and password is entered for access to Virtual Library resources. (Faculty and staff with ivytech.edu email accounts can also use their Ivy Tech email user name and password for Virtual Library access off-campus.)

In the example below, only users on the South Bend campus would be linked directly to the resource without having to enter a user name and password.

Changing southbend in this prefix to allstate will allow users on all Ivy Tech campuses to access the resource without being prompted for a username or password. Off-campus users would still receive the request for their user name and password.
