Biographical Information:Professor Counts is a native Texan who has lived in South Bend since 2003. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees are in Human Communication from Abilene Christian University. Her Master’s work specialized in Conflict Resolution and Negotiation. She has used her specialty in Conflict Resolution to help others by performing seminars for churches and other organizations.

Professor Counts has taught at Ivy Tech since 2004. She loves encouraging others in their communication skills. Public speaking is one of her great loves, and Professor Counts enjoys passing on the techniques, skills and methods that she has learned from over 15 years of public speaking and training experience.

Professor Counts, her husband and two daughters are very active in their local church, Donmoyer Church. Her husband, Jim, is a Youth Minster, and Professor Counts is active in the drama ministry and prayer ministry. Her two daughters are the most wonderful kids in the world (okay, she’s biased), and she wouldn’t trade them for the world. Professor Counts and her family love living in South Bend.
